Quickbooks add-on for Construction Company cost control and reporting.

Quickbooks is a very powerful accounting program for the price, and is far cheaper than most alternatives for use by small construction companies, and the premium version can be used effectively for controlling a construction project. Having said that though, it does have its limitations for this type of work and can be difficult to get the type of reporting out that is really useful for construction project control. We are actively developing this system in conjunction with a house construction contractor during the next year.

Automated Well Log Digitizing

This application is being developed to supplant manual digitizing of old drillhole geophysical logs. There are literally hundreds of thousands of old paper based well logs and plots, obtained before the availability of digital data recording, that still need to be digitized on an as needed basis.

There are only a couple of good automated digitizing programs currently on the market, and these are quite expensive, on the order of several thousand dollars per copy. We have done some proof of concept work to determine that we can develop this application to compete in this market place at a much lower cost.

Drillhole Database application.

Currently available database applications for storing drillhole and sample information, are generally very comprehensive, and correspondingly very expensive. We have observed instances where companies are using only 10 to 20 percent of the system's capabilites, not because they don't understand how, but rather they just don't need all those features. We are developing a simpler much cheaper system using Microsoft SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies to allow either local or web based updating and querying of data.

Drillhole downhole sample compositing

This is a classical problem in the mining industry, compositing grade samples to a minimum grade cutoff. Many of the current mining design and reserve estimating programs either do not perform this calculation, or don’t do it correctly, and we’re not quite sure why that is. We developed a compositing algorithm in house that works, and we used it successfully to develop a compositing program for one of our clients.

If we determine there is a viable market for this program we will proceed with development of a generalized compositing program suitable for use by any mining client.
